Philips Xenium X630This week, Philips has unveiled their latest and greatest design for their newest phone, the Philips Xenium X630.  This phone is actually a candybar phone that has a super, super, super long battery life to it – the reason for that?  IT has a 1530 mAh battery that can honestly last about 12 hours without needing to recharge.  Now, that is only of talk-time, if you do not talk on your phone, it can last up to 50 days – yes, I repeat DAYS without having to be charged.

This one is phone of those phones that every single big-phone-talker should have.  The reason?  You don’t have to charge your phone nearly as much which is bad for your phone anyway!  Some more specs on this beautiful cell phone include: a 2.4-inch QVGA display with 262k colors, a 3.2MP camera, a music player, an FM radio, a microSDHC card slot (up to 8GB) and Bluetooth with A2DP and that’s just the beginning!

So look for the Philips Xenium X630 – no words on pricing yet, but hopefully soon!

qa1-karmaYou have iPhones, you have Blackberries, you have smartphones going on the market all over the board — is it any wonder that Motorola wants to get its slice of the smartphone pie? The QA1 Karma is Motorola’s particular slice. It will be released through forerunner AT&T and promises, as its name suggests, to bring users good karma by way of some great features devoted to social networking.

For instance, users will quickly be able to access both their MySpace pages and their Facebook pages. Given the height of popularity surrounding these two social networking sites, that is sure to be a huge draw. How easy is the access? Well, for starters, there is a handy icon located right on the home screen of the phone, in a layout quite reminiscent of the iPhone. As well, the Karma has a complete QWERTY keyboard, which slides right out, and the display is rife with high resolution — plus do not forget the 3G connectivity. If that does not sell you, then perhaps the fact that you will be able to use Windows Live, Yahoo, or other messengers quite easily will.
